Rares Capitan graduated with a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, Romania, in 2006. From 2009 to 2014, he worked as a small animal practitioner in Bucharest. He then completed a dermatology residency program under the supervision of Chiara Noli in Italy. In 2021, after successfully passing the European College of Veterinary Dermatology exam, he earned the title of European Specialist Veterinarian. Rares Capitan is a founding member and the past-president of the Romanian Society of Veterinary Dermatology. He frequently speaks at national and international courses, and he takes great pleasure in sharing his passion for dermatology with enthusiasts around the world. He is also a co-author of two books and has published articles in peer-reviewed international journals in the field of veterinary dermatology. Currently, he works as a second-opinion veterinary dermatologist in Bucharest.
