I obtained my DVM and PhD in Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in 2000 and 2005 respectively. I worked for a while in pig nutrition and husbandry consultancy in Spain and then moved to University of California Davis as a postdoctoral researcher in 2006. I obtained a Master in Preventive Veterinary Medicine (UCDavis MPVM) in 2009 and the Diploma of the ECPHM in 2010. I have been working in the Teagasc Pig Development Department since 2014. My main interests are nutrition, epidemiology and prudent antimicrobial use.
