Ana Margarida Oliveira is a European Specialist in Dermatology by the European Board of Veterinary Specialization and holds a PhD in Veterinary Sciences from the University of Trás-os-Montes. She graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Lisbon. In 2003, she obtained a Master's degree in Medical Parasitology from the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Between 2003 and 2006, she was a specialty resident in the Department of Dermatology at the Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh, and obtained the Diploma from the European College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2009. She collaborated as a Clinical Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University between 2007-2009. In 2019, she completed her PhD in Veterinary Sciences from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro in the area of canine cutaneous infection. Currently, she is a full time Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Lisbon, Portugal. She has presented numerous lectures at national and international scientific meetings and is the author of scientific articles in the area of dermatology.
