
Dr. Riccardo FINOTELLO

Riccardo Finotello graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pisa (Italy) in 2007. He obtained the PhD degree in Veterinary Science from the same university in 2011. From November 2010 to October 2013 he completed a residency in veterinary oncology at the University of Liverpool. In November 2013 he moved to the University of Zurich (Switzerland) as Oberarzt in Veterinary Oncology. In September 2015 Riccardo returned to the University of Liverpool and was appointed as Senior lecturer in August 2016. He has been leading the Small animal Oncology Service (Head of Service) from October 2017 to October 2022. Riccardo was appointed Associate Professor at the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Bari in October 2022. In October 2023 Riccardo joined AniCura Italy Holding S.r.l.. as Head of the Oncology Service of the Ospedale Veterinario I Portoni Rossi, Zola Predosa, Bologna. Riccardo is a Royal College Veterinary Surgeon (RCVS) recognised Specialist in Veterinary Oncology (Small Animals), he is an EBVS European Veterinary Specialist in Oncology. He is author and co-author of scientific articles in international perr reviewed journals. He is a member of the European Society of Veterinary Oncology (ESVONC) and of the European Canine Lymphoma Network (ECLN). Riccardo is the Chair of the ECVIM-CA Oncology Credentials Committee and the EBVS national representative of Italy.
