EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine
Degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pisa in 1975 and Specialist in “Small Animal Disease” in 1997. Assistant Professor from 1979 in Veterinary Clinical Medicine at the University of Pisa where he developed the entire scientific and didactic career. From 1983 Associate Professor in “Compared Clinical Hematology”, then from 1995 in “Veterinary Clinical Medicine”. In July 2002 qualified as Full professor of “Veterinary Clinical Medicine” and from December 31st, 2004 appointed as Full Professor at the University of Pisa, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Retired from the Academia since February 1st, 2021, still active as practitioner and consultant of internal medicine in small animals focused to hematological disorders and infections vector-borne transmitted.
In September 1998 qualified as Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Companion Animals, specialty Internal Medicine. Passed the re-evaluation process for being diplomate in 2007, 2011, 2016, and 2021. Since April 2004 appointed as Associate Member of the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology.
Author and co-author of more than 400 publications concerning immunohematology, and clinical hematology of dog, cat, horse, and cattle. Speaker of more than 250 Conferences, Seminars, Webinars and Courses in continuing education on his expertise topics to practitioners involved in small animal and equine species.
