After graduating in 2008 (MSc) and some work experience, I completed two small animal internships at centers of excellence in the United Kingdom (NKR Veterinary Specialists in 2010 and the University of Liverpool in 2011). In 2012, I relocated to Switzerland to begin a residency in small animal cardiology at the University of Zurich. Concurrently, I pursued and completed a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in veterinary cardiology (CertAVP - VC) from the University of Edinburgh in 2017. In 2018, I achieved the status of EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Cardiology and graduated from the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine – Companion Animals (DipECVIM-CA Cardiology). Currently, I work as a small animal cardiologist in both Portugal and Switzerland, offering state-of-the-art cardiology services to selected specialist small animal clinics.
