Camilla grew up in Norway and moved to Scotland in 2008 to study Veterinary Medicine. She qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Edinburgh in 2014 with distinction and three awards. Additionally, she acquired a degree in Veterinary Pathology from the RVC, London in 2011. During this degree, six months were spent at Barts Cancer Institute in London learning laboratory based methodology and co- authoring a paper on oncolytic viral therapy. After working in general practice, Camilla completed a rotating internship in Norway in 2017 followed by a specialty internal medicine internship at Coral Springs Animal Hospital in the United States in 2018. After completing 3 years of residency and an MSc in Edinburgh in 2021, she sat and passed the final examinations and achieved diplomate status. Camilla has a passion for both teaching and research. During the residency she supervised a master student (on the course "clinical microbiology and infectious diseases") and also complete 8 publications as author (4) and co-author (4). Since 2021 Camilla has been Head of Internal Medicine at Anicura Animal Hospital Oslo. In this role she is active in clinics and supervises a fantastic team of four vets with MSc/Cert in internal medicine.
