Full professor at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences of the University of Bologna. The main research fields are evolution, molecular epidemiology and diagnosis of pathogens of companion animals. Teacher in Infectious Diseases of Companion animals and Clinical Practical Training in Transmissible Infectious Diseases. In 2021 she obtained Diploma de facto dell'European College of Veterinary Microbiology (ECVM). Co-author in more than 190 scientific publications, including on peer reviewed international journals.
