Dr. Sébastien Monclin graduated from the University of Liège in 2003. He then gained his expertise through internships, specialized training, and a residency in ophthalmology. Following the completion of his residency in 2008, he embarked on his professional journey in the United Kingdom, serving as a consultant at two different veterinary referral centers. In 2011, he earned recognition as a Specialist in Ophthalmology by obtaining the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ECVO). Returning to Belgium, Dr. Monclin has been actively involved in shaping the next generation of veterinarians and residents at the University Veterinary Clinic of Liège from September 2018 to February 2024. Simultaneously, he chaired the Belgian panel for screening hereditary ocular diseases and contributed to the ERC within the ECVO. Presently, he holds a position on the ECVO examination committee. In addition to his academic commitments, Dr. Monclin currently practices exclusively at the CALADRIUS Veterinary Specialist Center in Wavre since October 2023. He is also recognized as an author and co-author of several scientific articles.
