Carlo Nebbia graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 1980 at the University of Turin, Italy, and obtained a diploma of specialist in Meat Inspection from the same University in 1983. He was appointed as Full Professor in Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology in 2001. He is author or co-author of more than 200 peer-reviewed publications (articles, abstracts, scientific reports and book chapters) and edited a book on residues of drugs and contaminants in animal products. He is acting as referee for a number of peer-reviewed journals being also an editorial board member of the Journal of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics. Since 2006 he is an EFSA scientific expert . Carlo Nebbia was a founding member of the European College of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology and served as the Vice President of the College from 2003-2009.
