EBVS® European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery
Tim graduated from The University of Edinburgh in 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery. He immediately undertook a rotating internship in Edinburgh’s Hospital for Small Animals. After eight years in general practice, in Scotland, Ireland and England, working with a variety of species both large and small, Tim then embarked on a path of specialization. In 2009, he gained a residency post at Fitzpatrick Referrals in Surrey and at the University of Liverpool. Tim continued his career at a large multidisciplinary hospital in Hampshire where he became a Clinical Director in 2019. In 2022, Tim achieved his European Diploma in Small Animal Veterinary Surgery and became an EBVS® Specialist in Small Animal Surgery and an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Surgery. Tim is an enthusiastic educator and has lectured at Liverpool University and became a visiting Lecturer at the University of Surrey Veterinary School in 2019. Tim enjoys teaching surgical techniques to interns, and residents, as well as providing surgical training for GPs and Advanced Practitioners. Tim’s main surgical interests are in orthopaedics, in particular, fracture fixation, arthroscopy, angular limb deformity correction, arthrodesis and arthroplasty. Tim also enjoys neurosurgery and spinal fracture fixation.
