Simone graduated from Berlin University (Freie Universitaet Berlin). Her interest in veterinary dentistry emerged early in her career. This led to becoming a member of the British Veterinary Dental Association and of the European Veterinary Dental Society. Simone undertook her residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, USA, and subsequently sat the examinations with the EVDC in 2004. She is a Diplomate of the European Veterinary Dental College and RCVS-acknowledged Specialist in Veterinary Dentistry. Her professional activities have included EVDC Secretary, EBVS Representative, and BVDA President, as well as Board/ Committee member in both EVDC and BVDA, and lecturing at the RVC. Simone heads the Dentistry Service at The Ralph Veterinary Referral Centre in Marlow, a multi-disciplinary referral hospital west of London.
