Elke qualified from Ghent University in 2014 after which she completed an internship at the Department of Surgery and Anaesthesiology of Large Animals. Hereafter she subsequently started a residency in equine dentistry (EVDC Eq) and passed her European specialist exam in 2019. In addition, she completed PhD in 2021 in which she investigated the effect of cracks in equine teeth. From October 2021, she went into private practice and provides specialized dental care for horses at the equine clinics de Morette and de Bosdreef and additionally ambulatory care at stables. Since 2022, Elke joined the Equine Care group and is leading the ECG dental care division in Belgium.
