The School of Veterinary Medicine, University College Dublin seeks to appoint a temporary Specialist Clinician in Large Animal Surgery. The duration of the appointment is for 36 months. The UCD Veterinary Hospital has state of the art equipment including CT, MRI, ultrasound, interventional radiology, endoscopy and arthroscopy, laser, and fully equipped surgical suites. Ancillary support includes rehabilitation and physiotherapy. The Section of Equine Clinical Studies, Diagnostic Imaging and Anaesthesia currently has capacity for 15 Clinical Academics/Specialist Clinicians including three large animal surgery, four anaesthesia, four diagnostic imaging, one equine internal medicine and one equine reproduction specialists. There are also two staff members engaged in providing an ambulatory equine field service. These staff are supported by a full team of interns (rotating and discipline specific), residents and ancillary staff.

We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive small animal oncologist, who is passionate about delivering clinical excellence in small animal oncology, is an excellent “team player” and has a strong interest in veterinary clinical teaching.
