Rotating Intern Pride Veterinary Referral Centre, Derby

Pride Veterinary Referrals have an exciting opportunity for 3 Rotating Interns to join their team.

Responsibilities will include assisting with all aspects of patient care and client service, working on night shifts to provide out-of-hours care for hospitalised patients, managing new referrals and working weekends on a rota basis.

This is a full-time position, with a competitive salary of up to £30,230 per annum.

Pride Veterinary Centre is a multi-disciplinary, small animal hospital located in Derby, United Kingdom. The hospital is modern and spacious, with 24/7 staffing to provide around-the-clock care to our patients. Currently, the hospital offers specialist services in Anaesthesia and Analgesia, Diagnostic Imaging, Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic Surgeries, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Exotics. The hospital is equipped with full diagnostic imaging facilities including X-Ray (fixed and portable), Ultrasound, MRI and CT.

Pride Veterinary Centre is located at the edge of Derby city centre (15-20 minute walk), with good transport links to major cities via road and rail network. East Midlands Airport and Birmingham International Airport offer convenient access to domestic and international destinations. The countryside surrounding Derby is beautiful, with the nearby Peak District offering lots of opportunities for outdoor climbing, hiking, running and sightseeing.

 

About the Team and Culture
Pride has a diverse team of clinicians and support staff, with a team of around 30 specialists and residency-trained clinicians - the majority of services being Diplomate-led. You will be part of a large, multicultural, fun team of clinicians, residents, rotating and discipline-specific interns who support each other!

 

Applicant Requirements
To be successful, you will have experience in small animal practice, as well as good interpersonal and communication skills and excellent proficiency in English.
