Position Overview: Equitom, an internationally renowned equine hospital located in Lummen, Belgium, is seeking a dedicated and passionate veterinarian (m/f/x) with a special interest in equine anesthesiology. This position is ideal for individuals aiming to enhance their expertise in equine anesthesiology, potentially within a residency program.
About Equitom: Equitom is a state-of-the-art equine hospital that manages both first-line cases and referrals, providing continuous emergency services 24/7, 365 days a year. We care for approximately 8000 Equidae annually, with a hospitalization capacity for 150 horses. Our advanced surgical facilities include:
- Three operating rooms for procedures under general anesthesia
- One operating room for standing procedures
- Six recovery boxes
Our multidisciplinary team comprises specialists certified by the European College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (Dip. ECVAA), the European and American Colleges of Veterinary Surgeons (Dip. ECVS/ACVS), and other prestigious veterinary boards (Dip. ECVSMR, Dip. ECVDI, Dip. ECEIM, Dip. ECVO, Dip. EVDC, Dip. ECVP).
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a degree in veterinary medicine
- Be eligible for registration with the Belgian Veterinary Order
- Possess a strong interest in equine veterinary medicine and anesthesiology
- Have completed at least one year of clinical experience
- Be proficient in English
